Lahiru Thirimanne has been recalled to the squad as a replacement for the injured Asela Gunaratne while Suranga Lakmal has been ruled out owing to back spasms. India, on the other hand, have a selection headache, but one that they shouldn’t complain much about. KL Rahul has regained fitness after missing the first Test due to illness and the visitors captain Virat Kohli will have to drop either of Shikhar Dhawan or Abhinav Mukund for the upcoming match. Both of them made the most of their opportunities in the first Test; Dhawan slammed 190, while Mukund fell 19 short of a century. The second Test starts on 3 August.
