India vs Sri Lanka 1st Test, Day 2: Cheteshwar Pujara falls for 153 as visitors reach 503-7 at lunch

Galle: Sri Lankan paceman Nuwan Pradeep picked a maiden five-wicket haul as India moved to 503-7 at lunch on the second day of the first Test in Galle on Thursday.

Overnight batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara (153) and Ajinkya Rahane (57) were dismissed in the first hour of play after the top-ranked Indians resumed at 399-3.

Ravichandran Ashwin (47) and Wriddhiman Saha were the other batsmen to lose their wickets as the tourists added 104 runs off 27 overs in the first session.

Pradeep was the pick of the bowlers, taking five wickets for 88 runs.
