Galle: Shikhar Dhawan was unbeaten on 64 as India moved to 115-1 at lunch on the opening day of the first Test against Sri Lanka on Wednesday. India handed a Test cap to all-rounder Hardik Pandya, after winning the toss while the hosts, Sri Lanka brought in debutant Danushka Gunathilaka for the game. India started the day with the left-handed pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Abhinav Mukund, after India lost its first choice openers KL Rahul and Murali Vijay due to injuries. The pair began the proceeding cautiously, before Mukund was taken out by Nuwan Pradeep in the 7th over of the day.
