The Indian team showed tremendous perseverance on an unresponsive pitch to annihilate neighbours Bangladesh by 208 runs in the one-off Test and extend the team's unbeaten streak to 19 matches on Monday.
Bangladesh had to chase a mammoth target of 459 but succumbed to the in-form Indian bowlers and were all out for 250 in 100.3 overs. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were the pick of the bowlers with four wickets each apart from Ishant Sharma who managed to bag a couple.
The win was Virat and Co's eighth victory in nine home Tests this season with the only draw coming against England at Rajkot. Also, this was India's the sixth successive series victory under Virat Kohli which started from Sri Lanka series in 2015. India's unbeaten streak in Test matches is now 19 with the last defeat coming against Sri Lanka in Galle back in August 2015.
Bangladesh showed some fight and hung on for four days and two sessions – something that nobody had expected from the minnows. They managed to stay tall, playing close to 230 overs – both innings included. The Indian bowlers were lauded for their collective effort as they showed much more patience on a pitch that remained good for batting throughout the entire duration of the match.

India's 5 bowler formula is working really well. Always a fresh bowler available for the captain.

He's nailed off spin.
He's now bowling leg spin.
Eventually all of India's five bowlers will be 1 Ravichandran Ashwin.
