Trevor Morgan, coach of the Mumbai franchise, speaks to the press during the domestic player draft. Firstpost/Pulasta Dhar[/caption] A source was also quoted as saying: “The Sun Group is definitely out (of the ISL) and you might hear something official in the next two days, if not 24 hours.” In a bid to quickly get another owner on board, IMG-Reliance have opened talks with the other bidders (who were outbid by Sun) who made an offer for the franchise. This also includes Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan. There were also reports that JSW, owners of Bengaluru FC of the I-League, were interested in a 25% stake in the franchise — but IMG-Reliance turned down the initial offer of a co-venture. Sun Group have not as yet made an official statement on why they pulled out. The draft for the Indian players has already been done and the foreign player draft is set to take place on 21 August in Mumbai.
