Lalit Modi, the former IPL chairman and vice-president of the BCCI, has said he has evidence that a number of players were involved in fixing last season’s Champions League T20, as well as in global cricket. In a series of tweets that he put out earlier today, Modi also claimed that the transcripts of conversations between Vindoo Dara Singh and others show that it was IPL Ceo Sundar Raman who introduced Vindoo to the players. AFP[/caption] “The link between Vindoo Dara Singh and IPL CEO needs to be investigated,” Modi said. He went on to claim that the ICC has evidence of fixing that took place in the Champions League but has done nothing about it because “the BCCI and the ICC are not interested in solving the problem of fixing in the sport.” Modi went on to say that if the ICC does not make the information it has public over the course of the next week, then he will put out the evidence in his possession. “The evidence contains players’ statements,” Modi wrote. “My question is why hasn’t the ICC made the evidence public yet? What are they waiting for? Modi is also involved in a court case with the BCCI over his election to the Rajasthan Cricket Association. Modi is believed to have won the race for president in an election that was supervised by the Supreme Court. However, the BCCI has challenged Modi’s right to stand for office given the life ban the board has imposed on him and so far managed to keep the court from announcing the results.
