GOAAAL! Tom Wickham has his second goal of the day as he finds the far corner of the net. Australia once again remind India of how clinical they are. Unless there is a miracle, there’s no way in for India in the contest but still they will look to put up a fight.

GOAAL! Joel Rintala with the goal for Australia as the hosts triple their lead. This game is becoming more and more unreachable for India to catch up. Rintala collected the ball from Ky Willot and did the rest.

It was a good buildup from Sumit who looked to find his teammates with sights set on the goal, but the Aussies were alert enough to clear the ball out of danger.

So, it’s advantage Australia after the end of the first half in this first hockey test match in Perth. Goals from Tim Brand and Tom Wickham have given the hosts a 2-0 lead over Harmanpreet Singh and Co.

Ball possession remains with Australia for a majority of the game. That as well as passing accuracy have been their strengths so far today, whereas India seem to be clearly missing Hardik Singh. Less than two minutes to go in Q2.
