Australia beat India 4-2 in second Test match

It’s over! India succumb to a 2-4 loss to Australia. Jugraj Singh (9′) and Harmanpreet Singh (30′) scored for India from PCs but Australia won through goals from Jeremy Hayward (6′), (34′), Anderson Jacob (42′) and Nathan Ephraums (45′).

Australia make it 4-2

Just three minutes after Anderson Jacob gave Australia the lead, Nathan Ephraums has doubled it up with a brilliant goal. In the blink of an eye, Australia are 4-2 ahead of India. Australia stole the ball with India in an advanced position and Nathan capitalised on a ball the bobbled up after hitting a defender and put it into the net from an acute angle.

It’s 2-2 now as Australians score early in the third quarter. Hayward scores his second goal of the match through a PC that was earned with the help of an aerial ball. A low shot to the goalie’s right from the PC gives Australia the equaliser.

India had a few seconds to defend and the hooter goes off. India have a 2-1 lead at HT and both goals have come from PC. Harmanpreet in his half-time interview said the team is focussed on learning from the last defeat. The defence is sticking together but there’s still “room for improvement”.

Welcome to our live coverage of the India vs Australia match 2 from the five-match Test series. India lost the first match 105 on Saturday and will look for a better result in the second game.

India vs Australia Hockey LIVE Score: After losing the first match of the Test series against Australia, Indian men’s hockey team will be back in action on Sunday in the second match. India’s preparation for the Paris Olympics 2024 got off to a disastrous start on Saturday as they lost 1-5 to Australia with Tom Wickham scoring two goals for the hosts.

While the visitors were slow to start the first match of the Test series, Tim Brand gave Australia the lead in the third minute followed by Wickham making it 2-0 in the 20th minute. Joel Rintala increased the lead with a goal in 37th minute while Wickham in the next minute got his second goal.

India’s only goal game on a counters-attack as Gurjant Singh in the 47th minute turned around after received the ball and buried it into the net.

Ogilvie Flynn got the last goal of the match as he scored in the 57th minute.
