Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG) start their Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 semi-final on Thursday (3 April) with the first leg against Jamshedpur FC. This will be the first playoff meeting between Mohun Bagan and Jamshedpur.
While Mohun Bagan reached the semi-final of ISL 2024-25 by winning the ISL League Shield, Jamshedpur defeated NorthEast United FC 2-0 in the one-legged eliminator.
Mohun Bagan will be favourites going into the semi-final as Jamshedpur have not secured a victory in their previous six matches against the Kolkata giants.
The first leg will take place in Jamshedpur and Mohun Bagan have been unbeaten on the road in the previous six games, winning thrice and scoring 13 goals at expense of conceding merely thrice. Avoiding a loss here will not only mark a new club record for their longest such streak away from home in the league, but also enable them to enter the second and decisive leg in Kolkata high on confidence.
