The wait for the  Indian Super League (ISL) may soon end as the All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced the tentative schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season, which has been delayed due to a lack of a commercial partner. The ISL 2025-26 is expected to start on 14 February with a match between Mohun Bagan SG and Kerala Blasters FC at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

FC Goa is also scheduled to take on newly-promoted Inter Kashi at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on the same day. The first Kolkata derby between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal is scheduled to take place on 3 May.

The tentative ISL schedule has been released by AIFF in response to queries from interested bidders for broadcasting rights.

“However, this schedule is indicative and may be utilised by interested Bidders for informational purposes only. The schedule remains subject to change, basis inputs received from the participating Clubs, and a final schedule will form a part of the Contract,” the AIFF said.

According to the tentative schedule, ISL will see double headers on all Saturdays and Sundays (except one Sunday).

The Varanasi-based debutant Inter Kashi will use Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar as their home venue along with Odisha FC. Mohammedan Sporting will play four matches in Jamshedpur FC’s home stadium.

Sporting Club Delhi and Punjab FC will use Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi as their home venue, while Chennaiyin FC will play home games at JLN Stadium in Chennai.

Kerala Blasters would play their home matches not in Kochi but at the EMS Stadium in Kozhikode. This, however, has not been confirmed yet.
