Cristiano Ronaldo’s long-term partner, Georgina Rodriguez, on Monday announced her engagement with the star footballer through a social media post on Instagram. While sharing the news of her engagement, the 31-year-old Rodriguez posted a picture showing a huge ring on her finger. “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,” Rodriguez wrote as a caption for the picture.
While the ring is extremely beautiful, experts are claiming that it’s very expensive as well. The ring appeared to be 5cm long and consisted of an oval-shaped diamond a the centre surrounded by two smaller stones.
As per New York’s famous Briony Raymond jeweller, the main oval diamond could be 25-30 carats. But few have also claimed it to be 15 carats. Kegan Fisher, founder of jeweler Frank Darling, has claimed that the smaller diamonds are 1 carat each.
The experts are estimating that the ring is worth approximately $2-5 million, which will be between approximately Rs 17.4 crore to Rs 43 crore. Laura Taylor of Lorel Diamonds feels the ring has a minimum value of $2 million, while Rare Carat CEO Ajay Anand sees it to be at least $5 million.
The cost shouldn’t be an issue for Ronaldo, who recently signed a contract extension with his current club, Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. The Riyadh-based club has reportedly given him a two-year extension till 2027, and Ronaldo is set to earn US$677 million during this period .
The 40-year-old Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been living together for quite a while and have two daughters together. As a live-in partner, Rodríguez has helped Ronaldo raise his other three children. They also lost one of their newborn twins, a boy, in 2022.
The former Manchester United footballer, Ronaldo, first met Rodríguez in 2016 when she was working at a Gucci store in Madrid. Now she lives with Ronaldo in Riyadh.
