The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium boasts a formidable seating capacity of 58,000 and fans in Delhi will surely want to make sure they fill each and every seat when the tournament gets going.

FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017: India take on USA, Colombia, Ghana in New Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium

India begin their FIFA Under-17 World Cup 2017 campaign against the USA on 6 October at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. So come October, fans in Delhi will get the privilege to cheer for their country in the biennial competition. India were drawn with USA, Colombia and Ghana in Group A at the official draw that took place on 7 July in Mumbai. Teams in Group A play their matches at New Delhi.[/caption] The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium boasts a formidable seating capacity of 58,000 and fans will surely want to make sure they fill each and every seat when the tournament gets going. The stadium was built prior to the 2010 Commonwealth Games and is home to the Indian Super League side Delhi Dynamos. Ghana, who won the event in 1991 and 1995, play the opening match of the tournament against Colombia on 6 October in New Delhi. The kick-off is at 5 pm. India take on the US later, in the day, at 8pm. On 9 October, Ghana take on the US in third Group A league match. India meet Colombia in their second Group A encounter in the 8 pm fixture. Mali and New Zealand from Group B face each other on 12 October in the 5 pm fixture. The first phase of the tournament draws to a close when the hosts face Ghana. The last two games in Delhi are on 16 October. The teams which finish second in groups A and C take on each other in the Round of 16 at 5 pm. The team which tops Group B will face the team, which finished third, in Group A, B or C for a place in the quarter-finals at 8 pm. India, who qualified automatically as the hosts, will vie for the World Cup along with 23 other nations and fans in Delhi will want to make sure they get all the support they need.
