New Delhi: The Colombian team will be the first to arrive in India for next month's FIFA Under-17 World Cup when the players from the South American country touch down at the airport at New Delhi in the wee hours on Thursday.
The Colombian team of 21 players and the support staff will touch down at the Indira Gandhi International Airport after 1 am.
Colombia are placed in Group A along with hosts India, Ghana and United States of America. They will play their first group match against Ghana in the tournament opener on 6 October at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
The New Zealand team will be the next to arrive on 22 September. They will land in Mumbai, which will be their base for the group matches.
New Zealand are placed in Group B along with Paraguay, Mali and Turkey.
The remaining 21 teams will arrive later, starting from next week. Honduras, New Caledonia, Iraq and Mexico will be the last teams to arrive -- on 4 October -- as their first matches begin on 8 October.
