Manchester City will represent Europe, the continent with the most wins, in the 2023-24 FIFA Club World Cup. Man City did a treble last season having also won the Premier League and the FA Cup.
The 20th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will also mark the end of its current format involving seven teams. The competition will be extended to 32 teams from 2025.

The seven teams set to vie for the FIFA Club World Cup 2023 title are- Manchester City (England), Club Leon (Mexico), Urawa Reds (Japan), Fluminense FC (Brazil), Auckland City FC (New Zealand), Al Ahly FC (Egypt) and Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia).
Schedule:
Al Ittihad and Auckland City will feature in the tournament opener at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium on 12 December. The two semi-finals will be played on 18 and 19 December. The third-place match will be held on 22 December. The summit clash will take place on the same day.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2023 will see seven knockout games being played with extra time and penalties if needed. The third-place determining fixture will head straight into penalties if two teams fail to find a winner in 90 minutes of football.
