Faisalabad Wolves granted visas to play the CLT20 in India

Days after the Indian government refused to grant visas to Pakistan’s Twenty20 champions Faisalabad Wolves, the cricketers eventually got their passports stamped to play in the Champions League Twenty20, according to reports on CNN-IBN. According to a report on IBN-Live, sources have told news channel CNN-IBN that hectic lobbying from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has persuaded the Indian government to give in to their stand. This also comes in the backdrop of an informal meeting of the two foreign ministers on 12 September. Getty Images[/caption] One of the concerns was that it was not possible to provide necessary security arrangements. But now it appears that the security arrangements have been re-assessed after BCCI’s insistence that the team be allowed to play the tournament. Faisalabad will be part of a four-team qualifier from where the top two teams will qualify for the main tournament. They are scheduled to play their first qualifying match on the 17th September in Mohali.
