AP[/caption] 119.5 - Thanks to his brace today Sergio Aguero has the best mins-per-goal rate of any player with 40+ PL goals (overtaking T Henry). Tottenham Hotspur have failed to score in three successive Premier League matches for the first time since January 2009. City scored with all three of their shots on target in the second half. This was only the 10th time in Spurs’ entire history that they have lost a Premier League fixture by a margin of six or more goals. Spurs conceded six goals in a league game for the first time since losing 6-1 to Chelsea in December 1997. Man City’s total of 26 goals at home this season is already more than in six of their previous Premier League campaigns. Andre Villas-Boas’s charges had only conceded six Premier League goals this season before today. Of players with 40+ Premier League goals, Sergio Aguero now has the best minutes-per-goal rate in the competition’s history (119.5). Aguero (10) has scored more Premier League goals this season than Tottenham Hotspur (9). City are only the third side (after Chelsea twice and Man Utd) to score a combined total of 13+ goals in consecutive Premier League home matches. Jesus Navas is only the third Man City player to score inside the opening minute of a PL game, after David Sommeil & Geovanni. Navas’ first goal was the joint-fastest in the Premier League this season (13 seconds, level with Begovic’s goal against Southampton). Cardiff City 2-2 Manchester United Wayne Rooney became the first player to score 50 Premier League goals on a Sunday. Ryan Giggs has now played at least once against 45 of the 46 teams to play in the Premier League (Manchester United being the 46th team). Fraizer Campbell has scored in his last two Premier League appearances against former club Manchester United. Manchester United have gone nine Premier League away matches without a clean sheet. 45% of Cardiff’s Premier League goals this season have come in home matches against the two Manchester sides (five of 11). Wayne Rooney created eight goalscoring chances in this game, only Christian Eriksen (for Spurs v Newcastle) has created more in a Premier League game this season. Rooney last created this number of chances (8) in a Premier League match back in December 2008 against Middlesbrough. Everton 3-3 Liverpool Tim Howard has now started more Premier League matches for Everton than any other player (272, ahead of David Unsworth on 271). Philippe Coutinho’s goal ended Everton’s run of five hours and 34 minutes without conceding a Premier League goal. Before this weekend, Coutinho had fired in more shots without scoring than any other player in the Premier League this season (20). This was the first Merseyside derby in the Premier League era where both sides have scored in the opening 10 minutes. Only two Premier League matches have had both sides score within the first 10 minutes this season, and both have involved Liverpool (also v Swansea City). Luis Suarez has scored nine goals in seven Premier League appearances this season and has scored on all three of his trips to Goodison Park in the Premier League. Romelu Lukaku has scored in his last three Premier League appearances against Liverpool and has scored more goals against them than versus any other Premier League side (four). Daniel Sturridge scored exactly one goal for the ninth time in the Premier League this term; he has yet to score more than once in a game this season in the competition. The Toffees have lost just one of their last 12 Premier League fixtures (W5 D6). Liverpool have lost just one of their last 14 Merseyside derbies in the Premier League (W7 D6 L1). This was the highest-scoring Merseyside derby in Premier League history (six goals). Arsenal 2-0 Southampton Olivier Giroud has scored the first goal of the game on five occasions in the Premier League this season, more often than any other player. Fourteen of Giroud’s 18 Premier League goals have come at Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have not lost a home league game against Southampton since November 1987, winning 14 and drawing five of their 19 matches since. Southampton’s win ratio against Arsenal in the Premier League (14%) is the lowest of any side they have played more than three times in the competition. Arsenal have won five successive Premier League games at Emirates Stadium for the first time since April 2012. Olivier Giroud has scored seven goals from just 14 shots on target this season. There have been five penalties in Premier League games involving Arsenal this season - the joint-most in the top flight (along with Hull and Crystal Palace). West Ham 0-3 Chelsea Frank Lampard has now scored five times in his last five Premier League appearances against West Ham. Lampard’s penalty ended a run of 10 Premier League appearances for Chelsea without a goal for the England midfielder. West Ham’s only shot on target against Chelsea did not come until the third minute of injury time at the end of the second half. Lampard was responsible for four of Chelsea’s eight shots on target. West Ham are now without a win in five Premier League home fixtures; their worst run under Sam Allardyce. Chelsea have won five and lost none of their last seven Premier League derbies (D2). The Blues have kept a clean sheet away from home for the first time in five Premier League matches; having conceded five in the previous four. Stoke 2-0 Sunderland Charlie Adam has scored in consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since May 2011, when he scored in three in a row for Blackpool. Sunderland have been shown seven red cards in the year 2013, the most of all Premier League sides. The Black Cats saw three players sent off in 55 Premier League fixtures under Martin O’Neill. They have had seven red cards in 19 Premier League matches since he left (four under Paolo Di Canio, three under Poyet). Stoke have conceded only three goals in their six Premier League matches at the Britannia Stadium in 2013-14. Newcastle 2-1 Norwich Loic Remy has scored eight and assisted one goal in 10 Premier League appearances for Newcastle. Yoann Gouffran has now either scored or assisted in each of his last three Premier League outings. Leroy Fer has scored in consecutive Premier League appearances for the Canaries. Fulham 1-2 Swansea Only Sunderland (three) have scored more own goals than Fulham (two) this season. There have been nine own goals scored in the Premier League this term, and Swansea have benefited from three of them. Scott Parker netted his first Premier League goal since February 2011, when he scored for West Ham against Liverpool. Fulham have scored exactly one goal in each of their last seven Premier League matches at Craven Cottage. Hull 0-1 Crystal Palace There were no shots on target in the first-half of this encounter. Barry Bannan scored only his second Premier League goal, and his first since September 2011 (Aston Villa v Queens Park Rangers). There have been just six goals scored in the six Premier League games at the KC Stadium this season. From premierleague.com and @OptaJoe
