FULL-TIME: Manchester United are back to winning in style... 4-0 today with Paul Scholes, Alex Buttner, Javier Hernandez and Nick Powell on strike against Wigan. Arsenal scored half a dozen— two own goals added to Gervinho's double, Theo Walcott's late strike and Lukas Podolski's well taken freekick. Chelsea and Man City played out 0-0 and 1-1 draws respectively— Javi Garcia and Peter Crouch the scorers at the Britannia stadium. Aston Villa won their match against high-flying Swansea and Dimitar Berbatov scored a double in Fulham's 3-0 win against West Brom. All-in-all, a day for the first time starters across the EPL.

GOAL!! It's not stopping tonight is it? Another goal as Steve Sidwell makes it 3-0 for Fulham against West Brom.

GOAL!! Arsenal are really making it count against Southampton. It's 6-1 now as Theo Walcott scores for the Gunners.

83 minutes GOAL!! Another debutant gets a goal... Nick Powell, the summer signing from Crewe has collected a Hernandez lay-off, taken a touch and smashed it in the corner of the net. Excellent stuff. 4-0 to United.

77 minutes: Nick Powell, Robin van Persie and Jonny Evans are all on the pitch for United. Giggs, Scholes and Vidic are off. No minutes for Darren Fletcher though.

GOAL!! Arsenal are making merry now. Gervinho's made it 5-1 at The Emirates.

67 minutes GOAL!! Oh and what a debut this has been... absolutely brilliant. Alex Buttner collects the ball from some 30 yards off the goal and keeps going and going and going before shooting from an impossible angle to squeeze it between Al-Habsi's feet and make it 3-0.

64 minutes GOAL!! He makes amends for his penalty miss. And it's a typical goal for Javier Hernandez as he's at the right place and the right time when Alex Buttner put the ball in the box... first assist for the debutant too.

60 minutes: Wigan are getting rash now. The challenges are becoming clumsy by the minute. Rafael, Hernandez and Giggs are all suddenly in the game. Nani is also looking very bright after his earlier miss and a really bad season-opening match.

51 minutes GOAL!! Man United finally take the lead. They've come out at the break with some zest and it pays off. Nani's first cross is collected by Welbeck before Carrick played it back to the Portuguese. He crosses again, Al-Habsi flaps at it and it's right in the path of Paul Scholes who bangs it in the net on his 700th appearance for the club. 1-0 to United.

GOAL!! Southampton get one back. Danny Fox takes advantage of some sloppy keeping and makes it 4-1. Gunners are still waaaay ahead.

GOAL!! Tell you what... Dimitar Berbatov has done it again. The Bulgarian has calmly slotted a penalty to score his second and give Fulham a 2-0 lead. Certainly Alex Ferguson is having second thoughts?

42 minutes: Must admit Hernandez has been virtually invisible after missing that early penalty. Looks like it's only Welbeck up front for the Red Devils. On the other end, Wigan are slowly starting to show some creativity. Kone had a great chance from a cross but fails to make any contact.

GOAL!! Oh my word... it's raining goals at The Emirates. Another own goal from Southampton and this is getting embarrassing for them. Nathaniel Clyne the culprit this time. 4-0 to Arsenal.

GOAL!! 3-0 now to Arsenal. Gervinho the scorer as he thumps a finish past the keeper after a lovely through ball from Arteta.

GOAL!! Manchester City have levelled up against Stoke. Monkey's off the back for Javi Garcia, who is making his first start for the Sky Blues. Easy header for him from a Tevez cross. Stoke 1-1 City.

GOAL!! Arsenal double the lead and it's that man Lukas Podolski who fires the Gunners to a comfortable position with a fine freekick. Arsenal 2-0 Southampton.

GOAL!! Fulham have taken the lead and this goal was certainly coming since a long time... more so because the scores is Dimitar Berbatov. Fulham 1-0 WBA.

30 minutes: Excellent football from both sides. United first stitch up a few passes before Rafael finds Welbeck in the box. The England striker's back-heel in the path of Giggs was just cleared before the veteran could pull the trigger. But Wigan won the ball and McCarthy released Di Santo in behind Buttner. The Dutch recruit slid in at the last moment to clock the incoming low cross.

25 minutes: Ah Danny Welbeck! What a game he's having. He has done everything right but hit the net. He first wins the ball about 18 yards from goal but his shot is deflected. But minutes later he has another chance as a cross comes his way which he loops over the net with an intelligent header. Certainly United's best bet to score at the moment.

GOAL! Aston Villa have taken the lead via a brilliant collect and shoot from Matthew Lowton. Fine goal! Villa 1-0 Swansea.

17 minutes: First bit of innovation from United in a long while. Nani is allowed to walk into the danger area before he dinks one towards the middle. Welbeck's ensuing volley is inches wide.

GOAL!! Stoke have taken an unlikely lead. Peter Crouch dances past a few challenges in the box before rifling one into the net. Good goal and City on the back-foot. Stoke 1-0 Man City.

GOAL!! Arsenal have taken the lead and Podolski is involved in this one. He frees Gibbs on the left and the youngster's cross is deflected into the net by Southampton defender Jos Hooiveld. That will go down as an own goal. Arsenal 1-0 Southampton

10 minutes: The penalty disappointment hasn't slowed down United. Wigan haven't had much of the ball and United are attacking from the left. Buttner looks impressive as he escapes his marker but the cross is cleared away.

6 minutes PENALTY SAVED! Those need to be put away and Hernandez knows it. The Mexican, who has ample competition in the strikers' pecking order at United takes it to his right and Al-Habsi beats it away.

4 minutes PENALTY! United just finding their feet and work a long ball to Welbeck. He's too pacey for Al-Habsi who brings him down clumsily.

7.05 PM: The FA have said that there will be handshakes at the QPR vs Chelsea match... and guess what— John Terry and Anton Ferdinand will both start. Another snub for the Chelsea skipper?

7.00 PM: For Manchester City, three players are making their debuts— Scott Sinclair, Maicon and Javi Garcia. This should be very interesting! For Stoke though, new signing Michael Owen can only make the bench.

6.55 PM: Dimitar Berbatov will start for Fulham.
