The future of Robotics in India looks to be in safe hands. It was proven recently at the Games of the Future in Kazan when a Tamil Nadu-based team, DS Robotics, clinched the victory in a battle of tech power. In the summit showdown, their creation named “Godspeed” triumphed over “Daddy”, which was brought into the fray by a Russian team. The Indian robot put up an enthralling display of pace and agility from the beginning of the fight, doing justice to its name.

Godspeed weighs 110 kg and can sprint at a speed of 20 kmph. Having dimensions of 850x950x255, the machinery masterpiece boasts a vertical spinner as its primary weapon that can clock 8000 RPM.

Its power and strength undoubtedly stole the show at Kazan’s Games of the Future where some top-level engineers came up with stunning inventions to compete in the Robot Battle. A total of 16 teams hailing from different countries featured at the event.

Godspeed later went on to use its vertical spinner to destroy its opponent. The battle didn’t last long as Daddy was seen in flames after DS Robotics’ creation smashed it into the side walls several times.

The Robot Battle at the 2024 Games of the Future was a knock-out competition. On its way to the final, Godspeed got the better of some powerful robots featuring cutting-edge technology. The Indian team overcame ROC in the first stage before overcoming Belarus’ Atom in the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals, Godspeed emerged victorious against a UAE-based team Energy Girls to book the matchup with Daddy.

Besides the Robot Battle, the Games of the Future, running from February 19 to March 3, also has some esports events in its roster. Many teams from every part of the world have reached Kazan to challenge each other in games like Dota 2, MLBB, World of Tanks, football, and laser tag.
