Gujarat Lions pacer Dale Steyn has been warming the bench so far in IPL 2016. The South African has been dropped out of the playing XI due to constant injuries and his subsequent lack of form. In the ICC World T20 as well, Steyn only played one match for the Proteas. But he seems to be in good spirits despite the lack of playing action. On Monday, Steyn posted an Instagram video of him playing gully cricket in the streets of Mumbai with a cheeky caption “Little bit of street cricket in Mumbai, my 1st wicket of the Ipl”.And this isn’t the first time that Steyn has forgotten his celebrity status and played with local children with abandon. In July 2015, during South Africa’s tour of Bangladesh, Steyn had tweeted about his desire to go play football with kids in the rain.
Stuck in my room all day, watching these kids playing soccer in the rain looks like plenty fun... #shouldigo pic.twitter.com/0bv7bK45qr

And lo and behold, Steyn let go off his inhibitions soon after, left the cozy comfort of his hotel room and made a splash in the wet football field.
Here’s hoping all the gully cricket helps Steyn re-discover some of his lost form and take to the field for Gujarat Lions. The Raina-led team have won all of three of their matches so far with Dwayne Bravo and Co leading the bowling attack. The Lions will play their next game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 21.
