Cricket buffs, buy the first ball that went for six sixes

This is something every cricket lover would love to buy. Only condition that apply is that the buyer needs to have a thick wallet. The cricket ball that was hit for six sixes in an over by Sir Garfield Sobers is going under the hammer and is likely to fetch £25,000. Sobers was the first cricketer to achieve this pinnacle in the history of cricket. The West Indian scripted this feat in a county match when he was playing for Nottinghamshire against Glamorgan at St Helen’s in Swansea on 31 August 1968, the cricketcounty reported.[caption id=“attachment_268487” align=“alignleft” width=“380” caption=“Former West Indian cricket captain Garfield Sobers. He then charged down the wicket for the third ball and drove into the pavilion enclosure. For the fourth, he pulled Nash over the scoreboard before hitting the fifth ball into the hands of Roger Davis on the long-off boundary, who accidentally fell back over the rope.” The final ball landed on a street, which took Sobers to glory while taking Nash the opposite way.
