TT Bronze medal match Achanta Kamal loses TT men’s singles bronze medal tie 6-11,8-11, 11-4, 9-11, 11-6, 10-12 to Eng’s Pitchford. Pitchford took the early lead but then Achanta fought back well. She lost the second set by an identical score. This is a big upset. It has been a very up and down tournament for Sindhu and it remains so. The match went on for 54 minutes. Men’s Singles: Kashyap, the second seed, has lost the first game to England’s R Ouseph 18-21. Kashyap came back to win the second game 21-17 and then take the marathon third game – 21-18. The match went on for 83 mins. For the first time in 32 years, an Indian male badminton player will have the chance to play for gold. Powerlifting India’s Sakina Khatun wins BRONZE with total lift of 88.2kg in the lightweight event. Nigeria’s E Oyema won the gold medal.
