CLT20 Live Updates: Neesham helps Volts win a Super Over thriller

Volts Super Over Lions 13-0 Neesham bowled the over. And de Kock hit the first ball for four. Over the infield on the off-side. Second ball was smashed for six over the leg-side. That was the game in two balls or so we thought. It came down to 4 runs in 4 balls. de Kock took a single. Then we had a wicket. And another single. And a run out off the last ball with Lions needing 2 to win but getting just one. Volts won it by virtue of having hit a six off the last ball of their super over.

Lions Super Over Volts 13-0 First ball was hit for four by Neesham but after that just three runs off four balls. And then a six off the last ball by McCullum. Lions need 14 to win. Good bowling by Tanveer – last ball, McCullum charged down the pitch and made it into a full toss.

The Volts meanwhile have four points from their win against the Perth Scorchers and two more points from their washed out match against the Mumbai Indians.

The qualification scenario is far from clear in Group A and a win with help both teams along.

The Volts have looked the better side in the competition so far and expect them to start favourites but such is the format, that you can never count out any side.

If Rajasthan Royals win their match tonight, then they will go through to the semi-finals
