Volts Super Over Lions 13-0 Neesham bowled the over. And de Kock hit the first ball for four. Over the infield on the off-side. Second ball was smashed for six over the leg-side. That was the game in two balls or so we thought. It came down to 4 runs in 4 balls. de Kock took a single. Then we had a wicket. And another single. And a run out off the last ball with Lions needing 2 to win but getting just one. Volts won it by virtue of having hit a six off the last ball of their super over.

14.4 overs Volts 103-6 Nathan McCullum walking back without adding to the total. His stay in the middle was short and didn’t help the Volts. It was almost like giving slip catching practice.
13.4 overs Volts 101-5 This is not looking very good for the Volts at all. 67 runs still needed and half the side are back in the hut. It was a struggle for de Boorder though. He played a lot of shots for little return. D de Boorder c Bavuma b Imran Tahir 32 (37b, 4x4)

3.2 overs Volts 27-2 Now Brendon McCullum walking back after making 5 off 5 balls. The slower ball foxed him and he was caught at mid on once again. B McCullum c Sohail Tanvir b Tsotsobe 5 (5b, 1x4)
2 overs Volts 16-1 Broom is gone after make 6 off 8 balls. Big wicket considering that he was the man in form and made a century in the last match. He hit it straight to mid on. NT Broom c Viljoen b O’Reilly 6 (8b, 1x4)
20 overs Lions 167-4 De Kock has almost single-handedly given his side a competitive total. The Volts will have to bat well to win this. De Kock got his century off just 60 balls and ended up with 109 off 63 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes.
18.1 overs Lions 149-4 Symes gone after making a crucial 20. Crucial because he had a partnership worth 76 runs in just 6.1 overs with de Kock. J Symes c de Boorder b Wagner 20 (15b, 1x6)
18 overs Lions 149-3 In the last four overs, Lions have scored 63 runs and turned the match upside down.
17 overs Lions 136-3 It’s be de Kock all the way for the Lions. He has launched a vicious assault on the Volt bowlers and they are looking pretty shell-shocked – he currently has 82 off 48 balls. Symes is giving him good support.

Pre-game The Lions have lost to the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals, but have two points after their match against the Perth Scorchers was washed out.
The Volts meanwhile have four points from their win against the Perth Scorchers and two more points from their washed out match against the Mumbai Indians.
The qualification scenario is far from clear in Group A and a win with help both teams along.
The Volts have looked the better side in the competition so far and expect them to start favourites but such is the format, that you can never count out any side.
If Rajasthan Royals win their match tonight, then they will go through to the semi-finals
