Bhupathi-Bopanna rally to make semis at Miami

Miami: The Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna came from a set down to win 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 against Michael Llodra of France and Serbia’s Nenad Zimonjic and move into the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Open here. The sixth-seeded Indian duo took an hour and eight minutes to beat their third seeded opponents. The Indians, who had recently won the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, saved as many as four breakpoints out of six that the French-Serbian pair got. While on their part, Bhupathi-Bopanna could cash in on just one out of the three breakpoints. The Indians will next face the winner of the other quarterfinal between the Polish-Serbian duo of Lukasz Kubot-Janko Tipsarevic and Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Canada’s Daniel Nestor. PTI
