I am looking forward to lot more exciting moments in the coming years,” Khabra said. Khabra joins a list of players who have committed their future to the club including Boithang Haokip, Rahul Bheke, Juan Gonzalez and Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. The 29-year-old, who first arrived at the club in January 2017, has gone on to cement his place as right-back. Khabra continued to impress this season before picking up an injury in an AFC Cup away clash in Maldives. The defender, who is recovering fast, has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season and was an ever-present figure in the Blues’ backline which conceded the least amount of goals in the league phase of the ISL. He formed a formidable defensive lineup with the likes of John Johnson, Juanan and Rahul Bheke. Khabra also played for East Bengal for over six seasons since 2009 until he had his first exposure in ISL when he signed for Chennaiyin FC in the first-ever season.
