BCCI could clamp down on selectors talking after Dhoni, Srinivasan revelations

Former selectors are unhappy with the Raja Venkat spilling the beans on how ex-Board of Control for Cricket president N Srinivasan blocked a decision by the committee to replace MS Dhoni with Virat Kohli as captain of India in 2011. Venkat himself is a former selector and wrote a column in a Bengali tabloid outlining the details of the meeting — and according to a Hindustan Times report, this has triggered a reaction in BCCI which may result in a stricter confidentiality clause in selectors’ contracts. Current BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur is gradually making changes to the way the board functions, and the recent issue could force him to insert a stronger prohibitive clause, the report adds.
