Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem was rewarded with a cheque worth PKR 100 million and a Honda Civic car by Punjab province Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday. The Pakistani athlete has been showered with numerous rewards since making history for the country at the Paris Olympics 2024. The javelin throw athlete won gold in the men’s even with a 92.97m throw, which is an Olympic record. This was Pakistan’s first individual gold medal in the Olympics.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday travelled to Nadeem’s house in Mian Channu and handed over a cheque worth PKR 100 million to the athlete along with a new Honda Civic car which has a special registration number PAK-92.97.
Maryam Nawaz also handed Arshad’s coach Salman Iqbal Butt a cheque worth PKR 5 million.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also announced that he will be hosting Arshad Nadeem and his family for dinner at the PM House.
