Twenty-four abducted schoolgirls freed in northwestern Nigeria, authorities say

Twenty-four girls abducted from a boarding school in Kebbi state, Nigeria, have been released. President Bola Tinubu welcomed their release and urged security forces to intensify efforts to free others still held captive. Mass kidnappings for ransom are common in northern Nigeria.
