European leaders condemned the tariffs, expressed solidarity with Denmark and Greenland, and are considering retaliatory measures including economic sanctions. Europe may use its Anti-Coercion Instrument and previously delayed tariffs against the US, while also seeking diplomatic solutions before the tariffs take effect on February 1.
