    Bangladesh 'shocked’ by Sheikh Hasina’s Delhi address, lodges protest and warns of strained ties

    Bangladesh criticized India for allowing ex-PM Sheikh Hasina, convicted and sentenced to death in absentia, to address a public event in New Delhi, calling it a threat to Bangladesh's peace and bilateral ties. Hasina urged citizens to overthrow the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus, alleging corruption and calling for fair elections and protection of minorities. Bangladesh warned India that the Awami League would be held responsible for any unrest linked to the party and condemned India for not extraditing Hasina despite repeated requests.
