Nikkei Stock Average breaches 50,000-mark for the first time as Trump signals trade truce

Japan's Nikkei 225 index crossed the 50,000-mark for the first time, rising 2.42% to 50,491, driven by progress in US-China trade talks and strong US market performance. The Tokyo Stock Price Index (Topix) also rose 1.61%.
