‘Naxalism on its last legs’: Amit Shah declares Chhattisgarh’s Abujhmarh, North Bastar as Naxal-free

Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared Abujhmarh and North Bastar in Chhattisgarh free of Maoism after recent surrenders. Shah stated the Maoist movement is nearing its end, with plans to eradicate it by March 2026. Since January 2024, 2,100 Maoists have surrendered, 1,785 arrested, and 477 killed.
