Mystery object at 36,000 feet that shattered United Airlines windshield is identified as.....

A stray weather balloon hit a United Airlines jet at 36,000 feet over Utah, breaking the windshield and injuring the captain. The balloon, from WindBorne Systems, lost contact and drifted into the jet's path. WindBorne announced new safety measures. The NTSB investigation is ongoing.
