Japan’s Sanae Takaichi holds talks with right-wing party to form govt

Sanae Takaichi, head of Japan's Liberal Democratic Party, is negotiating a coalition with the Innovation Party to secure a prime ministerial vote. If successful, she could become Japan's first woman premier. The LDP proposed an October 21 vote, but opposition parties are still in discussions.
