India’s retail inflation rises to 0.71% in November on slower fall in food prices
India's annual retail inflation rose to 0.71% in November from 0.25% in October, mainly due to slower declines in food prices and higher fuel costs. Food inflation stayed negative at -3.91% year-on-year, with rural at -4.05% and urban at -3.60%, but showed signs of easing. Overall inflation remains below the Reserve Bank of India's 2-6% target range for the third consecutive month.
