‘Biggest FTA’: What gets cheaper in India, how will Europe benefit?
India and the EU have concluded a historic free trade agreement, the largest ever for both, aiming to boost investment, innovation, and supply chains. The FTA will cut or eliminate tariffs on over 90% of EU goods, making European cars, machinery, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, alcohol, and food products significantly cheaper in India. The deal creates a combined market of nearly two billion people, representing about 25% of global GDP, and strengthens strategic and economic ties between India and the EU.
