Watch: Ethiopian volcano erupts for the first time in 12,000 years

Ethiopia's Hayli Gubbi volcano erupted for the first time in nearly 12,000 years, sending smoke 14 km into the sky. The eruption occurred in the Afar region, affecting areas as far as Yemen, Oman, India, and northern Pakistan. Authorities have not yet reported on casualties or displacement due to the eruption.
