China launches spacecraft to bring back astronauts left stranded in space by damaged vehicle

China launched the Shenzhou 22 spacecraft from Jiuquan to provide a safe return for astronauts on the Tiangong space station after a damaged vessel disrupted their return. The unmanned craft will remain docked until April 2026, marking China's first emergency deployment of this kind.
