    Centre orders X to remove ‘obscene, sexually explicit’ content, flags misuse of Grok AI

    The Ministry of Electronics and IT has issued a notice to X (formerly Twitter) over misuse of its AI tool Grok, which is generating and circulating obscene and derogatory content targeting women and children. MeitY has ordered X to urgently remove all unlawful content, review Grok's technical safeguards, act against offenders, and submit an Action Taken Report within 72 hours. The government warned X that continued non-compliance could lead to withdrawal of safe harbour protections and legal action under cyber, criminal, and child protection laws.
