    Can $1 billion in cash get a permanent seat on Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ for Gaza?

    The US has invited at least eight more countries to join President Trump's new Board of Peace, aimed at overseeing Gaza's next steps and potentially expanding its global mandate. Hungary and Vietnam have accepted invitations; India, Australia, Jordan, Greece, Cyprus, Pakistan, Canada, Turkey, Egypt, Paraguay, Argentina, and Albania have also been invited. A $1 billion contribution secures permanent board membership, with funds directed to Gaza's reconstruction; the board could rival the UN Security Council in influence.
