Australian mountaineer dies while scaling Nepal’s Himlung Himal

Australian mountaineer Chin-Tark Chan, 49, died while climbing Himlung Himal in Nepal. Chan fell ill on October 29 and was found lifeless at 6,100 metres. Rescue efforts hampered by severe weather; body to be airlifted to Kathmandu.
