Army general takes over Guinea-Bissau after president’s ouster in coup

Guinea-Bissau's military installed Major-General Horta Inta-a as transitional president after a coup ousted President Umaro Sissoco Embalo. The coup, the ninth in the region in five years, was justified by the military as a move against narcotraffickers. The transition is set to last one year.
