Watch: Doctor who treated Jayalalithaa in June-September 2016 says ill-treatment killed her

As the battle rages between AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala and incumbent chief minister O Panneerselvam over who will be the next chief minister of Tamil Nadu, a doctor who treated Jayalalithaa between June and September of 2016 opened up exclusively to Firstpost. Dr MN Sankar is a renowned acupuncture specialist who has treated former TN Governor Rosaiah and other celebrities and VIPs. He claims that he also treated VK Sasikala and her family members about seven years ago. Sankar says he was called in to treat the late Jayalalithaa when she was unable to even move in June 2016. He says she improved drastically after his treatment and was even able to walk easily and without pain towards August 2016. Sankar says he was not called back to continue the treatment and that Jayalalithaa’s doctor Shivakumar, who is Sasikala’s relative (Ilavarasi’s son in law) informed him that Jaya was alright. In an exclusive interview with Sandhya Ravishankar, Dr Sankar says he was shocked to hear that Jayalalithaa had been hospitalised following a good recovery and that if his treatment had been allowed to continue, she would “100 percent be alive today.”
