With the second part of the first phase of elections underway, a clash between workers of the Communist Party of India(Marxist) and Trinamool Congress broke out in Jamuria's Burdwan distrcit of West Bengal. Five people were injured iun clashed, out of which one is said to be in critical condition.
Election turnout in Jamuria however was more than what was expected; voters were seen eagerly queuing up starting early in the morning, to cast their votes.
