Watch: BJP's Babul Supriyo singing a song for Kejriwal is the very definition of awkward bromance

It's not often that you will see politicians of rival parties coming together to express their admiration for each other, much less sing about it.

But singer and BJP leader Babul Supriyo showed that politics can also be light-hearted and funny when he sang a song for none other than Aam Aadmi Party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at a New Delhi Municipal Corporation event in the capital on Saturday.

"I will play the role of Saif Ali Khan. For the role of Rani Mukerji, let me call him," said Supriyo, as he went and grabbed Kejriwal's hand, who did not seem very willing to jump into this singing session with Supriyo, even though he had an awkward smile on his face.

"He is the Raja of Delhi. He has promised that he will do anything for you. Then can't he become a Rani for you?" joked Supriyo, as Kejriwal's smile became even wider and he gave Supriyo an even more awkward side-hug.

At this point, we're really not sure whether Supriyo was trying to set an example for friendship in politics or just trying to troll the Delhi Chief Minister.

If you think things couldn't have gotten more uncomfortable between the tww, you should look at the body language of Kejriwal when Supriyo began singing the Hum Tum title song. We don't know why would Supriyo pick a heady romantic song and would want to sing a duet with the Delhi Chief Minister?

However, the most hilarious part of the bonhomie on display was that Kejriwal seems to have come to the stage with the motto of the penguins of Madagascar: "Just smile and wave, boys...smile and wave."
