An official said that Chouhan offered jobs to the family members, while Akshay Singh’s family maintained that the chief minister offered a job only to the sister. “We don’t need anything, just an unbiased probe,” the family member said. Delhi-based Akshay Singh died mysteriously on July 4 while covering the story of the Vyapam recruitment scandal. Chouhan said: “This family has lost everything. I assured the family of an unbiased investigation into Akshay’s death. I will do whatever to lessen their pain. I offered them jobs in the city and other help. “It is my life’s mission to find out the truth, which is why I sent (Akshay Singh’s) viscera samples to AIIMS,” he added. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also offered a government job to the journalist’s sister. Chouhan had on Wednesday urged the Supreme Court to order a CBI probe into the Vyapam - the Madhya Pradesh Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal or Professional Examination Board - recruitment scam. The apex court will hear the matter on July 9. IANS
