UP: Brisk polling in second phase, 38% turnout till 1 pm

Lucknow: Brisk polling is going on in 11 seats in the second phase of polls in Uttar Pradesh with over 38.06 percent polling till 1 pm to decide the fate of 150 candidates. According to EC sources, Nagina witnessed 41.04 percent polling in the first four hours while Moradabad 39.54 percent and Rampur 36.47 percent polling each. Reuters[/caption] Sambhal recorded 40 percent polling, Amroha 40.90 percent, Badaun 33.6 per cent, Aonla 38.20 percent, Bareilly 40.40 percent, Pilibhit 36.80, Shahjahanpur 34.33 percent and Kheri 37.4 per cent. In this phase, polling is being held in Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Amroha, Badaun, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Nagina, Aonla and Kheri. The prominent candidates who are in fray includes Maneka Gandhi, Santosh Gangwar, Saleem Sherwani and Begum Noor Bano. PTI
