Clearly not learning from the lessons of their fellow party members in Karnataka, two BJP MLAs in Gujarat are under the scanner for allegedly watching porn in the Gujarat assembly.
The two MLAs were identified as Shankar Choudhary and Jetha Dharwad. The pair had been sitting in the back rows of the assembly and were reportedly sharing an iPad, which according to a senior journalist contained “indecent pictures”.
The two MLAs had been sitting right under the media gallery and a senior journalist had taken a clipping of the content on the iPad. The journalist had then made a complaint to the Speaker’s assistant who intervened and got the two MLAs to take the iPad out of the assembly.
One of the journalists told the Times Now news channel that the ‘indecent’ pictures had been camouflaged by pictures of Swami Vivekananada.
Meanwhile, the Congress was quick to condemn the incident saying it showed the “true face of the BJP”.
Speaking to the media, a senior Gujarat Congress leader said, “This incident shows that the culture and character of the BJP have declined so much. They already did something like this in Karnataka and in Parliament they were caught on camera taking bribes for asking questions.”
