With Narendra Modi safely ensconced in the Prime Minister’s chair, Rahul Gandhi was possibly hoping to spend a quiet and most importantly troll-free birthday. However, that was not to happen. And he has Twitter (and some would say himself) to blame for! Narendra Modi’s fans, who had taken it upon themselves to make Rahul Gandhi look like a caricature, have not spared him on his birthday, even when he is out of power. So, remaining true to their social media spirit, they have come up with the hashtag #PappuDiwas. Twitter, in an early weekend mood has gotten busy celebrating Gandhi’s birthday in their signature style - by running him down with jokes dime a dozen.
