Twitter reacts: Sadhvi Prachi ji, I had chicken this weekend, what calamity can I expect?

After BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj propounded his wisdom claiming in a statement in Haridwar that the Nepal earthquake was not caused by interactions of tectonic plates but by Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Kedarnath, Sadhvi Prachi has followed suit, creating a furore on Twitter. IBNLive[/caption] Their logic is as follows:  Rahul being a non-vegetarian and hence, impure, shouldn’t have visited the holy land of Kedarnath before purifying himself—that is taking a dip in the Ganges. “Rahul Gandhi eats beef, and goes to the holy shrine (Kedarnath) without purifying himself. The earthquake was bound to happen,” The Times of India reported Sakshi Maharaj as  saying . Also present at the conference was Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sadhvi Prachi. Jumping the queue, she made a similar statement saying, “This ( earthquake) is due to the visit of Rahul Gandhi, who is a non-vegetarian. He did not take holy Ganga dip. He should have first purified himself. This disaster in Nepal and northern India is due to Rahul’s visit," reports the Tribune .
