Sadar Bazar Assembly Election 2020 | AAP’s Som Dutt (68,790 votes) defeated his nearest rival Jai Prakash (J.P.) who got 43,146 votes. While Dutt received 55.71 percent of the vote share, Prakash has 34.94 percent. Dutt is also the incumbent MLA. Traditionally a Congress bastion, the Sadar Bazar Assembly constituency saw a high profile contest in the 2015 election when Congress leader Ajay Maken entered the electoral fray. A triangular contest between Congress, AAP and BJP had been predicted for the 8 February election.
